Auto-union: yes, we've tried to point that out, but he persists.

RedRiley: yes, we've labelled him as a troll, but he persists.

Scottwkurth: yes, we've pointed out to him that his behaviour is divisive and drives members away from this community, but heer persists.

I've come to the conclusion that there's something wrong with his psyche.

Guess that's why there are no steering column holes in the floors on the left hand side and the pedal box isn't interchangeable.

I've driven both LH & RH and don't really see a difference. They're both correct for the countries they're designed to be driven in. Now saying this I picked up on a News cast where Canada is going to make the switch to the left hand side of the road. They're going to do it in phases - trucks & buses first.

Cool

I only import RHD cars..  LHD is for trophy wife.s and W.L.B  in LA..   fyi the only complaints with DMV I have had in last20 years.. it has been  from W.L.B.. that had me convert their mini/mokes from RHD to LHD.  they seem to think they have life time warranty .. well until the sun quits shinning.. .. I would NEVER sell or import  a LHD mini moke again.. later bc

RH Drive Minis

- look better
- drive better
- are worth more
- are cooler
- are more British
- are proper

LH Drive Minis, none of the above

I've owned both, but and may or maynot prefer one over the other.  Who cares?

Give it a rest.

It is pretty clear that there are some members on this forum who just wish to sow divisiveness. More than being tiresome, it is actively not in the spirit of what this forum is for—bringing together Mini owners who can ask questions, share knowledge, and enjoy this hobby with other like-minded individuals in a community.  It is behavior that drives members away from this community. I always wonder in these kinds of circumstances what possible motivation someone has to behave this way... but that is best left as a rhetorical question.

If there's any question of "right" vs "wrong" that is relevant here it is this one: If a member is a person who seems to pick fights and provoke debates that no one else is interested in having, are they actually welcome in this community? It is pretty clear to me that there IS a right answer and a wrong answer to that question. I hear Twitter is a great place for that kind of behavior, perhaps you'd find a more welcoming group there.

Actually John Shepard designed the Moke.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

make a car lighter and it's faster everywhere. Colin Chapman.

I think you should take this up with the US department of transportation, and get it changed. This has gone on for far too long!  Hmmm the map makes it look a loosing battle.

The rest of the world doesn't need proof. There are far too many left hand drive Minis to worry about such an opinion. All the proof I need is sitting in my garage waiting for spring.

What you need is an enema. From both the right and left hand sides.

and Mini of course

I hope this proves once and for all what the proper side drive is for a Mini and a Moke
