My mini is a 1964 Cooper (registered) and per the heritage certificate was built the last quarter of 1963.  My understanding is that when the mark II came out many people swapped the grills and rear lights for Mark II equipment. I have changed the grill but the rear lights...haven’t gotten there yet

Some of the Australian Mokes had the same top hose set up but that radiator is Austin America, my pick up had one just like it with an AA 1275 engine.

Think you're right about the rad....a tad too big.  Wasn't sure if the hose went to the back on those as well or not.

My Woody came with an ADO16 1098 engine and rad....it hadn't been cut like this, but was rubbing for sure

The seller added more pictures. Radiator looks like it came from an Austin America.
It looks to have a body number on the front panel but my would guess is that it is a 998 Cooper with S badges.

....... control box on the inner wing instead of the S position and no servo.
Engine is probably a CA spec 1000 ........the thermostat/rad set-up is a clue.
Def a MkI rear window, chrome latches.  boot board  thingies.... MkII column control....

Guilty.  I have frequently used hose clamps to make exhaust hangers and even to secure patches on pipes.  However, I am not guilty of ever using them as clamps to hold the pipes together.

Maybe not Doug. When you use a hose clamp to clamp your exhaust together then who knows what surprises are under the bonnet.
A Heritage certificate showing the optional RH fuel tank (if factory installed) and picture of the body number (if it still has its original front panel) would go a long way.
Like you said a bit of a bitsa.

Whatever the original car was, it is now a "bitsa".  There is the engine and grille mentioned by Malcolm.  There is also the rod change gearbox and the chrome window latches that are "pre-'64".  It also looks to have over sills from what I could see.  I was a bit surprised that the seller did not include pictures of the engine bay.  Regardless, it's not priced like a '64 -S either.

It has the smaller rear window.
Looks like an original Cooper or S to me apart from a MK II> non Cooper grille and if it is an S the 1000cc engine.
