Regarding the gear selector rod; yeah, they leak too, sometimes dramatically so. The rod change seal kit that Doug suggests is an upgrade and will put an end to the leak, at least until the rubber gator falls apart—but don't get me started on crappy rubber.
Agreed,
Rear main seal CAN be replaced in car.. it is Helpful to have some certain tools however = bendy wrenches to get the wok off.. or Rear main seal installer. and Flywheel pulling tool.
Removing the flywheel + Clutch assembly is the most difficult part.

Rod change seal kit is needed and the proper item to re seal that shift rod.
As noted the Gator has been made with the worst rubber possible and it degrades very quickly.  To also add, I have seen the gator installed and just by being squished between the rod and the gearbox can  cause the shifter to fail to select gears as before becasue its crammed in position.

IN short =  Install the sealing rings... leave the gator off.

If the leak is in fact coming from the hole containing the cotter key, you may indeed have a leaky main seal—which is a big deal in terms of repair. However, our A-series engines leak oil from many sources. I understand they even leaked oil sitting on the new car lot. Some of these leaks are of consequence, while others are simply an annoyance. If your motor is leaking from say the oil drain plug, as most do, some of that oil will surely end up collecting on the bottom of that cotter key. In fact, any oil leak you may have that is above and/or near the cotter key will likely find it's way onto the cotter key. I suggest you wipe down everything clean and keep your eye on where and what begins to get oily.

Allright thanks, another leak to go on the list.

I believe the gearbox half moon seal is leaking too and also something around the gear selector rods. Welp ??

There is a hole there to let out any fluids from inside. The loose thing is a bent cotter type pin that rattles around in the hole to keep it from getting plugged with gunk. It should be there, do not remove.

Anybody that can help me here?

I saw a few drops of oil dripping down from this and it hangs loose, it's copper like, v-shaped and can be pushed up and rotated.
