Thank you, yes, I am aware of the Luggage package but to be honest it is over the top expensive and not really of great value to the customer. Hence we are trying to deliver an inexpensive and user friendly alternative. Thank you for the information.

The factory offers a Luggage Carrier Preparation option (S3ARA) for the 3rd generation MINIs which adds the threaded receptacle on the left side of the rear bumper (drivers side on US MINIs). This options allows the use of the 'bumper mount' factory bike rack.

We don't have dimensional details.

Hello, 
I am seeking any specifications/information regarding the left tow hole on many of the Mini Cooper model/years. Specifically what I see is a black plate with what appears to be a rectangular key hole with some space behind it. I'm seeking to understand what it is supposed to be used for, what the dimensions (length/height/depth) of the plate, how deep the area is behind the plate, what load the plate is spec'd to support. We produce a bike rack for Mini Coopers and would like to support those that have this feature.
