dr Mini.. quite right I missed that detail.. should have been BLACK plate..  think DLVA did these until 1973??  later  bc

That registration number is obviously not correct for a UK Moke. In addition to the Suffix number being wrong, a yellow plate would be on the back of the vehicle. Some previous owner either found or bought a UK numberplate and just put it on the Moke. Lots of folks in the US do this and could care less about what year the UK registration number represents.

That number is not available on the DVLA database

You can research the plate number in the dvla website in the UK providing it is the one issued to the Moke of course which as it is a late 74 or early 75 platesplate so  it may not be. There are exceptions though as it could have been exported then re imported but nowadays it would have got an age related plate.

anybody have any info on this Moke, I bought in Detroit Michigan 2 years  ago ?

I see it it the panoramic photo of 2004 Mini meet in Rockford Ill.
