What was it 1989 in Denver. I went and was a much younger man then. My car was not happy and my body did not respond well to being there. Of course I did not attend when east was held in Hampton Va. Of course that was shortly after I sold my Cooper S for a down payment on a house. All I had was a rusty 850 project in parts. Maybe some day I will make it back. Steve (CTR)

The altitude and never having been up that high before was the prime reason Suzy didn't want to go.
Do we have dates yet for 2020 ?

I'm trying to locate Al Frost from Ky, Forgot to get his contact info at the Mini Meet in Snowmass several weeks ago. I had spoken to him on numerous times. Thanks Dave Anderson (Green Cooper S, White Bonnet Stripes) From WA State.

For me Owensboro, KY is about a 10 hour drive. If I go, I'll be driving something other than my Mini. I love my Mini but I am not going to spend 10 hours in it at highway speed.
Good on you for your daily runs Bill. I have a tee shirt that promotes the opposite. It reads "eat right, exercise, die anyway". My philosophy is "no pain". That ties into my statement above about not driving 10 hours in my Mini... no pain.

Whee/Peter: you are most welcome, donating a pair of lawn chairs for the use of your little wheel U K Black moke at MM East/ West in Snowmass CO seems like a bargain to me
yes, will look forward to MM East in 2020 in KY, AL Frost and crew will do a great job
As far as Ontario doing a MM East forget it, we hosted it in 1993 in Toronto, Ontario, although we pulled it off, it pretty well spelled the end of MOOSO ( Mini Owners Of Southern Ontario )
Although Tamer/Joltfreak , does the Mini Meet North every mid June at Mosport Race Track
So cheers to you and the MOTR crew for a job well done

Big Al, watched fireworks from my back deck in your folding chairs this evening. Guess I will have to bring them to you when if I ever make a MME. Kentucky not so far, but I really like going to Victoria and can't do both.

Bill, I had no idea you were vegan. BTW, I thought about you a week ago when I was passed by a semi truck carrying Red Stripe.
Speaking for the meat eaters, all BBQ is good. The only stuff I cannot get excited about is BBQ beef in TX since in NC BBQ means pig.

Lets do it Doug, we have a year to get ready. Alex and I just picked up a mid size P/U truck and are using it as a father son project.
A little story. As a young man I was ask to be best man in Kentucky. I arrived at brides home and was offered a bowl of Burgoo. Her mother ask I please allow her to refill my bowl before I ruined the pattern on her china.

MME will be in Owensboro? I might actually have to go. The nearby town of Lewisport is one of the ancestral homes for my Lawson family. I still have cousins there.
Bill, as you know, regardless of who votes for what, barbecue is regional. I like both eastern and western NC BBQ and I like Bridges. However, in NC you cannot get BBQ mutton or Burgoo... especially the good quality sold by Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro. It's not to everyone's liking and it is very different than pig... but it is special and I like it.

Hi Big Al
Sorry for the altitude problems. Next year's MME will be in Owensboro, KY and the elevation is 394 feet!
I also found out that Owensboro is the BBQ capital of the world.....
cheers, Eric
