Thank you all for the advise - I ordered Delphi coils and Bosch plugs so I should be all set -

Use the OEM spark plugs, but buy at Rock auto or other.

In the case of the 2012 Countryman, the MINI factory ignition coil is made by Delphi. If you can find an aftermarket coil made by Delphi, there is a good chance it will be identical to the factory coil other than the label on the box - for much less cost....

I'm replacing the plugs and coils on my 2012 countryman 82,000 miles - I'm not surprised by the Mini dealer parts cost. What's the opinion on "OEM" aftermarket parts from name brand companies? It seems like I can get quality parts (Bosch, Delphi, etc) for substantially less. Thoughts?
