So you need the one on the left. As for filters the K&N I have in mine (taller one on the right) have been discontinued with no replacement.

Ran unit in on single HIF 44, now have MGB twin HIF 4/ 38s with AAU needles and got it quickly to 14.8/15 to 1. Once I work out the air cleaners I'm going to like this set up. Steve (CTR)

I'm working with a 1275 GT block and crank, Metro rods, 74 mm pistons, 940 big valve ported Metro cyl. head. Swift SW 5 cam, Maniflow header. This is on a rod change with 3.1 CWP going into a BOC with the sun roof removed and a new roof panel installed. Thanks the O2 will help me dial it in. Steve (CTR)

1098 +.100 giving 1186, oversized valve CST 12G295, Piper 255.  Pulls well, will be even better once it's been run in and tuned.  Performed admirably at Goodwood.  Can't remember what needles it has, probably a pair of AAUs.

Thank you, any general engine specs? This one is big street unit thinking about starting with AAA. On test stand with O2 and gauges. Steve (CTR)

I'm running a NOS pair of MGB HIF4s on the Hornet.  Aside from air filter issues cause by the Hornet bonnet being a different shape at the back, they fit and clear a Mk1 bulkhead using a normal subframe and std inlet manifold beautifully - proably better than an HS4.  No need to reverse or modify anything.

The tiny linkage is a PITA mind you...

Looks like mostly 997 and 1071 1 1/4 intakes and several ( a bunch ) of sprite/midget. Nothing after market, of course some have been played with. Digging around yesterday I noticed how many SU lids without the rim around the edge I have.

While I still plan to use a pair of MGB HIF 38s I'll have to work out reversing throttle shaft rotation. With a engine forward sub frame I hope they will clear the bulkhead. Steve (CTR)

Steve do you have any aftermarket performance intakes for twin 1.25"s?

My set of correct 997 intake, carbs with correct lids and tags with pan cakes should go with the complete 63 997 project I'd like to sell. Also thinking about sell off a 773 Inno 1000 Cooper project with 998 Cooper power unit. Having two rollers and 6 shells in storage now. Two more shells/ projects in the shop and two going together. I'm way over stocked 7 remote shift housings maybe as may rod change shiftre assemblies. Stacks of flywheels, clutch housings glass for all type minis. MK 1 rear glass. A couple reverse wheels and A+ wheel sets among others. MY contact info is in my profile. I can text pics but still don't try to post here. Steve (CTR)

Steve - Do you have the correct intake for twin 1.25s? Current one in use is sprite. Have complete HIF38 and am not sure which way I am going. First step with twin setup would be to find intake.

I would be interested in 997 pancake filters, and proper float bowl lids, tags. my carbs are fresh but with the wrong lid type, I need ones like in the photo.
By the way, should you have HS2 carbs with bowl tags 99L and 99R they are 1071S carbs

Completely oval box's without the flat area are the most desirable.

You could probably get some good coin for those boxes Steve.
