You might try different 'brighter' or 'whiter' bulbs - their effectiveness is subjective as some say they help and others not so much.
You can also add a set of driving / rally lights which will effectively double the light output in front of your car. You can use the factory setup, or go with aftermarket brackets and add your lights.
