I think the EBC greens are pretty dirty.... as a whole. BUT the trade off is how well they do work + improve bite as they warm up and are used on a good run.

Blacks advertised as less dust= go that route

I use the Greens (EBCs)... I wouldn't say they're dust "free"...  but pretty good.

The other question is how well they work from cold.  I would say mine are less effective first thing on a cold morning but are fine after  a few applications.  And they hold up well to a good downhill blast... .  I've been through several sets of Greens but haven't bothered to try the Blacks.

They will benefit from a good running in... A similar set I had for my Volvo recommended the following regime... Accelerate to 80 kph (50 mph) brake hard ..but not to a stop ... accelerate to 80, brake hard ..rinse and repeat about 10 times..

IMO ..the harder you do the original run in, the better they will work.

I fitted one set with a new master cal kit ..which turned out to be defective.  I drove about 20 kms with the brakes jammed partially on (couldn't think why the car was so sluggish....  The pads got hot enough to burn the green paint off ... but they worked really afterwards....

Cheers, Ian

Hey guys, I'm looking for some brake pads with low dust. MM says the blacks are the pads with low dust, but no mention for the greens. Any experienced users or the green or black wanting to share?
