Sorry, it's a replica - this has been discussed on the Mk1 Forum.
//mk1-forum.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1946&start=10530

The font is apparently incorrect and there is no red border around the white one, which is visible in pictures of the competing cars.

It states original in the listing. It also states it may be a non competitor due to the 312 entrant number (also stamped into the plate) when only 245 competed in the event.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

Is it a replica or not ?

Quick searching of Google images (at work so I'm limited) brings up a plethora of different replicas and few original images.  The plate referenced certainly appears to be different to the ones being sold as authenticated plates and the fuzzy images of the ones on cars in '66.

I realize it's none of my biz, and I realize you have had some health issues. Have you not noticed the request
not to list for sale items on the board in this area? There is a for sale section just for that reason. Just saying.

Please look at the reverse of the plate it’s fully embossed. I doubt that’s cost-effective.  Look at the pictures again it’s still a   1966 Rallye Monte-Carlo plate

Replica plate? Non-competition plate?

How about giving us the 12 digit ebay listing number  ?

Whats your ebay name ?

Car engines make CO2 and trees absorb CO2. By running your engine you're feeding a tree and helping the environment.

I got 300 listings but looking at them there is only one 1966 Monte Carlo plate listed the rest are GM Monte Carlo products.

If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.
