Recharging air conditioner question

Today, I replaced the horribly clogged cabin air filter (under the glove box) with a hepa-quality carbon-filtering replacement because it's still hitting the '80s in Florida & the air conditioning was running hot. It helped a bit, but not much. I have to pick up a resealing/recharging kit. My only question is whether the charging port on the right side of the engine block of a 2003 R53 Mini Cooper S is an R12/R22 size or a different size like the newer minis. Anybody know?
