They didn't have them. In US speak the running light/parking light is generally in the main beam light referred to as a pilot light. At this point with the age of the car the previous owner(s) may have installed sealed beams that don't have a pilot. You may find the wiring is still there, on one of my cars the socket for the pilot was empty inside the headlight bowl. You can buy dual filament sockets and convert them, I did this with my car because the inspection station would always give me a hard time about it. I don't remember the color of the wire but it may be red for the pilot. Check the Haynes manual you find the pilot and wire color. Part number for the dual filament holder is 27H5545.

Victor:  I have a 1975 Authi (Spanish Mini) with the same wiring set up.  Indicator lights only on front and I believe this was the original configuration.  It did have extra wiring which I believe was for front side lights but I don't have them and didn't bother to check to see if they might be used for parking (or running) lights.  Good luck!  J.D.
