I have not seen this piece available separately from MINI - a salvage yard or second hand would be the way to go if a welding repair isn't practical.

I agree if the bolt was what broke ( I couldn't get that lucky).. however it's the whole nipple that the bolt goes into that snapped. I tried to JB weld it.. and.. It didn't hold.. I'm going to try to fabricate a new bracket. I called the dealer and they indicated the piece that broke is a part of the sunroof assembly and a new one is 3K.. ( which is nuts in my opinion) I tried to locate on on e-bay and found a few.. but going to try the bracket thing first.. Thanks for the reply and possible solution

It's just a broken bolt like on the other arm. Get the broken bolt stud out with an EZ out or other and bolt it back together with a new bolt of the exact same type.
