I'm also looking for a cover for our newly purchased Mini. I've leaning towards https://www.calcarcover.com/CoverDesigner/ChooseCover

They make custom fit covers and do list the classic mini but only 1960s model years. I've reached out to ask about other years (ours is a 94). I'm new to the Mini world so I'm sure there are members here who can comment on the differences in body size as it would pertain to a car cover between the 60s-90s model years. From my initial searching, the body size is within an inch between the 60s-90s.

The car is stored inside all the time. I just need a cover to get the dust in the garage away from the Mini. I guess then, it does not make any difference whether the cover is water proof or water resistant, right?

If the car is stored outside, even if the cover is waterproof, it needs to be breathable. If not, condensation will build up under the cover and rot your Mini. An acquaintance of mine had a Mini years ago and thought he did the right thing by using a plastic tarp outdoors for the winter. Rotted the floor out of his car. 25 years later he still regrets it. Indoors, it also needs to breathe, especially in unheated storage.

That is very handy indeed. Nicely done. I might need to ask the missus about a custom cover,

Covercraft has covers fitted specifically for classic Minis. They even have the pattern for the Elf and Hornet.

The cover I have came with the car many years ago, so I don't know the source. It doesn't come all the way down the sides but was a bit too long. My wife made sewn tuck across it to shorten the length and used some of the excess material to patch the mouse holes that happened when it was stored folded. She also made a small button-hole opening for the wing-mounted antenna. Works a gem!

Yes, that was my original idea. I just need something to keep all the dust away. Maybe a Fiat 500 or Smart might fit. I need to check,
cheers,
Abel

Probably not to many that are fitted, but for indoors I use a larger cover, and just fold it to fit with some minimal weights to keep it in place.

Hello,
I know that our host sells cover for our Minis, but was wondering if there are other alternatives for indoors.
cheers,
