I seem to recall that you need to take the dash liner out - there's a hole in the shelf that you can pass a long screwdriver up through.

The front panel of the 3-clock gauge set is held on by 4 wedge-clips. By carefully wiggling it at each corner, you can get the front off, exposing the cluster fasteners.
When you do get it loose, be careful disconnecting the speedometer cable - the clip holding it on can snap.

Ok I'm trying to remove the instrument cluster from a 1993 Japanese model classic mini, there are two screws on the bottom sides, I've removed, there are two screws on the top, I got one out, the other is just impossible to get anything on it.
there is another screw at the back right, but again, impossible to get a screw driver to it.
Any hints? How do I get it out? does the top come off the dashboard ? is there some secret tool. I've got the smallest ratchet I could find. But I cannot press it onto the screw or move the arm enough to turn it.
Thanks, heaps, ChrisP
