I misread "restomod" as restored, and was fearful that you'd be ruining the value of a 100pt car with the 'wrong' colour.

Guys, I ended up buying at eBay a Dupont chip card, not all the colors I wanted to give it a try where there but I am ok with the options I have.

From the card I selected 4 colors, here are the samples on the attached picture.

I am thinking to go with the Sunberry white, specially if I decide to go with the Martini livery, as you can see on the attached picture... I already have the sunroof to be installed after the car is painted so it should be ease to recreate the look.

If I decide not to go with the Martini livery then the choice will be between the Surf Blue and the Porcelain green.

Honolulu Blue isn't an OEM Mini colour !

I've never seen it before on a Mini, it's a Morris Minor colour afaik.  It's not listed in any references I can find except for the ubiquitous swatch sheet for the whole BMC range.

Somerfords would agree (can't find a Mania equivilent) - https://www.somerfordmini.co.uk/info?info_id=136 - and they're absolutely an authority.

I too have had good results with Autocolorlibrary.   They will make samples in the exact color you need.    They can supply it in Acrylic Enamel, Urethane, or base coat.    Worth a look.

I've had good experience with paintscratch.com in the past with other projects....

Getting a matching paint tone is a matter of whether the shop is able and willing to mix toners to match. Otherwise they just go off of pre-packaged formulas with a bit of adjusting in some cases. If the paint maker doesn't supply a formula, then they can't mix it. The toners are different so they can't use the formulas for older paint technologies.

$100 USD for 1/4 gallon is actually very cheap, depending on the paint system being used. Automotive paint costs have more than doubled in the last 5 years. In 2017 I paid $140 for a pint of (then) DuPont Chromabase. Last fall I paid $290 for a pint of Chromabase. This is just the base paint, not including reducers or activators.

Well, got a very fast reply from them, it seems they can make the paints, but they quoted me $100 for 1/4 gallon, (smallest quantity they can make), for 4 colors it would be $400 plush shipping... ouch!

Thanks for the help!

Already got the PDF chips from BMC colors and already got formula for each color I need, dont think a physical card would help me to get the matching color better than the formula itself, as wrote above, will go that route if cant find a store who can prepare the colors with the formula. Thanks!

You'd probably be looking for this, in physical form instead of an online version I guess?:

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Look at this place. Get them to mix you a small can of enamel of the 4 colors you want. Spray a 6"x6" square metal panel with each. You can take the panel you like to the local paint store and have it scanned into their system. You can use the enamel sample paint on the inside floors to get some use of it.

Just went looking for paint chips on ebay and came up with these:

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233756106009?hash=item366cf31d19:g:6JQAAOSwOQNeggD2

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233562673686?hash=item36616b9216:g:bycAAOSwI49emgIq

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/233652066312?hash=item3666bf9808:g:gOoAAOSwcdRfELpN

Not sure if paint sample chips are what you are looking for. Hard to tell if the ones you want are in those. Looks like all the choices that you made were painted from '64-'67.
Maybe a more refined search on a search engine would bring some more luck. There was someone offering a can of the Honolulu paint on ebay, but they're in the UK.

Dont know if that's the real reason, its funny that I have asked 3 different stores and they all agree on the same, the formula uses old tints, no longer available on the market, (Glasurit), and they dont know where to find the equivalence with current tints, hence they are not able to prepare the paint unless I provide a sample part, which of course I dont have.

I am hoping to find a store that could have access to the needed information, or with the time and willingness to find it.

Due to availability of cars and info maybe the UK is the best place for it.
