Thanks Willie and Mike for the input and ingenuity. I'll have to fashion up something similar and see how it goes.

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Willie, that was me that copied your setup, but added a Y so the passenger had a cool seat as well. I took small water bottles and froze them. I set them in the cooler and added water around them, and found they lasted 5 or 6 hours with intermittent use. At night I refroze the water bottle in the hotel fridge/freezer, and good for the next day.  Thanks for the great idea!

When I made a summer cross country trip I made this cooling setup. A medium size cooler( not too small), a bilge pump from Harbor Freight (runs on 12vdc). Some 1/2" tubing, a camping mattress pad. Put enough water in the cooler to cover the pump, fill the rest with ice. Plug it in and enjoy. I found it best to start cooling yourself before it gets hot, once your hot it does not seem to work as good. I was getting about 1 1/2 hour from each ice batch in 100 degree weather. By that time you need either gas or bathroom break anyway. I got the pump from Harbor Freight incase I needed to replace it on the road, which I did need to when it quit. I know someone in Canada built one with a "Y" in the cold hose to have two seatpads going. There was one day it was 105 in the car at 70mph. I never broke a sweat with it going.

I've heard John from MCM suggest putting the condenser and such under the boot space outside.
From there Phil and the boys at Steveston Motor Co., are doing an electric A/C install. Similar set up but it'll cost some heavy money for it.
The cool suit looks interesting. I'll have to do some more research and see how many reviews are out there for it and see what it's like.
I've seen some of those seat cushions with the mini fans inside, but don't think they would do much.
Other than purchasing some mini oscillating fans, I was wondering what else may be out there.
With all of the 12v/cigarette lighter plug in heaters and heating pads, etc., that are out there, I thought there'd be some similar for cooling.
Thanks for the tip. Keep them coming

Friend of mine... Built D Series Swap .  Went all in with Vintage AC Kit...  Was Partially successful...
The interior parts were fine .
The work was in making the proper lines  Fittings all attach and under the hood. ALSO getting air on the Condensor under the hood to fit somewhere for some air flow

VERY Tight, he had multiple failures from the Welding of the fittings to his setup. .  He ended up selling the car before finishing actual cooling.   I have seen other setups with Fans + condensor mounted under the boot.

Easy solution =  Race car cool Suit

Cool Shirt Link.

Thanks, haven't seen that one yet. Will look them up.
But I guess my query didn't need to JUST be addressed to Vtecers. It could be for any Mini owner that doesn't have A/C, and has gotten creative on the cooling.

Wanting to know what all of you Vtec-swapped Mini owners are doing to stay cool. A/c set up (and how you accomplished this), interior fans, cooling seats, etc.
I'll have roll down side windows and the pop out rears.
I've added 12V and USB ports inside the car for extra tech, and/or cooling devices until I can find or think of something that will work and fit.
Just curious what everyone else is doing.
Thanks,

.
