very true. I actually got into Minis through this hobby when I made my first Tamiya Mini Cooper. After that came a few more

Model making is very enjoyable.You can really lose yourself.  there is a great model making magazine published monthly. The skill and talent is truly worthy of a look. Keep at it. Have fun.

That was my first attempt at replicating the wood using coffee stirs. It was quite a fiddly job but I agree, it could have been better. That's the excuse to make another woody

Good job so far. Looks like some of the wood can be shaped better  with some fine sanding. Back in yesteryear, I used a red hot pin to make holes in the dist cap and spark plug openings . And took black thread  and glued them in for wires. Now they have UV glue enabling the model maker to hold the part in placed  and glued instantly. Took ball point pen springs for suspension.

Not picky at all!. Don't worry. I added a few things that thought would look nice.
Since I took the Tamiya Mini Cooper as a basis to make the van, the kit only comes with wet suspension. Plus, modifying the floor pan to relocate the battery would have been too much work.

I doubt it. That system is quite impractical as the bend is too sharp....but I like it like that. As I said. this is how I would envision my dream van.

I doubt vans had hydrolastic rear suspension.
Don't vans have the battery located up behind the front seat so they could have an under-floor fuel tank.

Well, I sort of finally 'got' the van of my dreams. I doubt I will ever be able to make it true, so I built my own with some custom touches. I am sure that you will be able to spot them, right?
