BlownDaytona.. no one is going to drop their asking price in half to fit your tiny budget.. if you do Not have Fiddy Large to pay from proper MK 1 Cooper s. you are just dreaming.. a rough one sold in BaT in Charlotte NC for $55k and it needed full resto. might look it up on BaT..

I have been checking the usual sites. I was hoping to get the attention of someone who knows of a potential seller who is sitting on the fence so to speak. As for a clone, nothing wrong with a well done clone, just as long as it is priced accordingly. All the cars I have purchased, are not for investment, but because I want them and do see limited use.

good luck with that.skippy . most of the MK 1 cooper s.s are being sold on www.bringatrailer.com these days.. or www.ebay.jp in Japan see Mk1 Cooper s.s fetching $50k plus on BaT and needing full $80k resto.. as for clone.. why??
