I'm dreaming about Minis again (true again).
Last night, I was viewing a project Mini in which the owner had converted to full frame so he could install built-in car jacks (as in Formula 1), but they were neat mechanical devices that lifted up when not in use. In another dream I was driving my Mini on a cold, rainy evening. At first I was trying to drive with the handbrake on and later I came to a T-intersection where I had the stop sign. It was downhill to the stop and ice was beginning to form on the road surface. I slid into the intersection - no traffic coming either way - and managed to negotiate my left turn.
I know my Mini tires are not great in the wet, but, being Canadian, icy driving is hardly an issue for me. Weird dreams!

Thanks for the nice chuckle !

Agreed. Not a fan of sticking stuff to rubber. Wouldn't adhere for long.
This is one of the rubber tire insert places that I've seen. Don't know how long it'll hold up. But it's an option. https://www.portawallshop.com/video.htm
TireStickers offers the stick-on or glue-on option. The stick on is basically a vinyl decal stuck to the tires. Their permanent version is more of a raised rubberized piece that glues on. https://www.tirestickers.com/shop/white-wall-tires/
I think I recall the OverHaulin' show using plastic inserts on one of their builds, that tucked in a similar way as those rubber ones.
Depends what the poster's budget allows. Some of those 17" white wall tires are around $300-400 per tire, or possibly more if they're custom sized. That gets wild pretty quick.

Simple recipe for Excitement: Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Try here, https://dbtires.com/product/diamond-back-evo/ There's a place in LA that will cut whitewalls into any tire. They are permanent and not a sticker or insert. If you need their info I will have to search for it as I've forgot their name.

Are the 205/45 tires the largest you can fit? If you're able to go a little bigger, CokerTires have a whitewall option at 225/55R17.
https://www.cokertire.com/tires/bf-goodrich-silvertown-radial-wide-whitewall.html
Other than that, there were a lot more options for a 16" tire, if that wider 17" doesn't work for you.
There's always the 'fake' way of doing it, by adding in the white circular rubber or plastic inserts that go between your wheel and the tire opening to give that white wall effect. There's multiple options if you look up white wall inserts
Or TireStickers. https://www.tirestickers.com/shop/white-wall-tires/

I'm wondering if anybody knows where I can find white wall style tires (205/45R17)? Ive been looking around and haven't had much luck. Any help would be appreciated.
