Hey PB! Hope you are staying cool down there in the Southeast...

That's exactly the issue I'm having with my '87 1275 Classic. It was scheduled for e-conversion over this past winter @ McGhee's, but supply chain issues nixed that. The more I drive it as it is, the less desire I have to go ahead with the project. By the way, 'your' R53 continues to prove its mettle, mostly on the track. Heading to a new track in New Hampshire next week to give it some exercise. The car is amazing on R-comps!

Hi Veggiet!  Well, one can still convert one to an EV, but then you've gone and messed up an original 60 year old Moke that may be gaining value at this time. What happens to those manufacturers is anyone's guess but my money is on PHD as he knows stuff. :)

To my eyes it looks like the Moke would be one of the easiest to convert to electric. Too bad it has ended up in this legal quagmire.

Markiss..  ok  just got the skinny on this. seems EV Technolgy Group has paid $55 Million for 50% or Moke International and has agreed to buy the other 50% of the outstanding shares..  www.electek.co  I agree.. but heard it will be $50k USD for one that cruises only at 50 MPH..and 50/60 range. on charge..  but whole lot better than POS LSV golf cart moke.. that will only go 25 MPH legally

Well at least now those Moke fans out there that want a MOKE EV that is better than the MOKE 'golf cart', will be relieved to know that they have something better to look forward to now that MOKE International's version is landing in N.America. Albeit for twice the money as the golf cart version. I'm sure there'll be some diehards that want more power, range and open-road-use than the current offering. 
And of course the battle and the competition continues between MOKE Int. and Moke America. 
Will be interesting to see how well it takes off in N.America for MOKE Int.

Markiss... Moke Int has been  importing mokes from China since 2016. about two years before Todd Rome / Moke America..All the moke shells are made at Wuhu Volibear in Wuhu China.( Moke Int is making new moke shells in May 2022 in England ).  Might check out Moke USA vs Moke America.. trademark case of April 2020.. do google search.   moke america LOST..   comes back up in Jan 2023 in Federal Trademark court in Arlington Vir. in  Jan 2023..So what happens when Moke America loses?/ legal quagmire for the 4000  owners of the Moke America E mokes. can you say  trademark Fraud  for Moke America.?? also to spice thing up. Cruise Car Inc  who assembles the Moke America and installs their WMI ( vin number..  ) from their Golf Carts..  5 Y N..  is being  sold to ICON  golf carts in Tampa.    and guess who owns the WMI for Moke America.. ? none of the above.. might look it up and post. Will  someone  be going to the Penitentiary over the trademark?? and  what happens if CBP cancels all 4000 emoke/s vin numbers??
