A person wanting a Mini pick up could consider this, as it's half way there to becoming one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-austin-mini-cooper-9/

Another thought,...and if you're willing to go to the dark side, there's this: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1966-fiat-500-17/

.
Simple recipe for Excitement:  Take 1 Classic Mini. Throw in 1590cc's of engine. Add 5 gears. A dash of 94 octane. A sprinkle of style inside and out. Toss in 1 MadMan and finally heat tires and pavement to taste. Recipe produces 1 Mini VTEC conversion and full satisfaction. Motor on!

Interesting point. Will see if he can knock off $20K for that if I go there and kick the tires, to make it more in my price range. Love the train horn.

Very nice pick-up, BTW gas struts are upside down in bed, barrel should be on top to keep oil on the internal seals. I did a bunch of engineering in a previous life designing gull wing gaurds for packaging machinery.

Hey there, just came across this thread. I work for Gildred Racing in California. We just picked up 2 pickups, 1 "driver" project and 1 roller in need of a pretty complete resto. Not sure what plans the boss man has for them or what level of vehicle you're looking for but if you'd like some more info on these 2 reach out to

Hi Spitz.. I think that yellow pick up was owed by Gordon King/ ProPacUSA  from Charleston SC..Gordo hosted MME there in 2002?  the best MME ever.. and I think he sold to someone in NY , then Big AL bought it .. sold to Dr in Montreal from Pakistan and then Big Al bought it back and then sold to Cail.. one fine fine pick up.. I saw it in person at Spring Thang   in 2000  Cheers PHD..

I wonder if that yellow one in CA is the one Big Al had for a while.  Not a fan of the flares on that one.

Sure regret selling mine back in 2012 or so...... went to Colorado

Markiss, Still no reply from that guy... PHD, I spoke with Al yesterday...He is not interested in selling any of his minis. He is interested in talking about minis and would have stayed on the phone for hours had I not convinced him I had to return to work at some point. :)

He did take my number and said he would let me know if he decides to sell and of em.

PHD, any work on those you mentioned?

Travis
No sweat. I would have been interested in it if I wasn't so elbow-deep into my rest-mod Mini project right now. If the seller didn't want to deal with emails, they should have listed their phone number in the ad.
Could maybe even ask around to any Canadians on here that live in Ontario if they'd go check it out for you.
