Markiss.  these look to be the 2 gen chokes. you can tell by the 2 inch lip at the bottom on the pontoons..  and they  will also allow A plus mini engine. but brakes have to totally replaced as both subframes..  better off with 3 gen ones from Wuhu Volibear in Wuhan China..   Cheers PHD

Dan, I'm sure you could repurpose them into whatever you want and do an engine swap. But just for off-road/track purposes. Not street legal then.

Markiss.. according to Moke America website. they are 41 MA dealers in the USA. and  just looked at Berts Mega Mall in Covina Cali. they have 76 e mokes in stock today. some one there is going to SICK real soon  me thinks??  the owner of Cruise Car Inc..Adam S.. emailed me and told him that he and Moke America/Todd Rome. are dropping Moke America....that  Moke America is NOT doing enough volume or space anymore  and  he NOT  making enough money the assembly and doing the Vin numbers the 7 .DOT parts. installing.. E mokes to continue... my guess it more about the Trademark appeal case coming up in 60 days..

dan.  the 3 gen Chokes are 4 inches wide and about 11 inches longer to more room for the SQR 472 Chery engines./trannys.  Anyone with a  manufacture status from NHTSA , their DMV lic and theft.. and WMI   could do the vins legally but the costs?? complete new wiring harness.. new ECU/ TCU.. engine tranny.. my guess cost at $10k plus..the E mokes are titled as LSVs NOT MPVs. another legal quadmire. but in long run WHY?? you can buy new Petrol mokes direct from china for  $9750 USD..  Cheers PHD..  ps. I'd be willing to bet they'd put a cease and desist order on all other sales and do whatever they want with any unsold stock. But I highly doubt they'd go to every customer (thousands of them across the country) and seize their Mokes simply to crush them. Doubt it. I bet they'd fine the crap out of MA and leave whatever sold cars out there. 
As far as Rolexes, copyright-infringement clothing, etc., same deal. Seen it before. The seller and maker get fined, all assets of any remaining unsold product gets seized and trashed. They don't track down every customer to seize those as well. Whatever is out there is out there.

I think that the  41 MA dealers could  be holding the note on this..? .. as they actually sold them to the public..   PHD  

Doubt if they'd do that and penalize innocent customers, by seizing thousands and thousands of these from across the country and crushing them. They more than likely squash the ones responsible within M.A. Less of an overall impact that way. Can't get blood out of a rock.  
There's been more than enough unsavoury companies out there pumping out product that they shouldn't have. It hardly ever comes back on the customer base. Company is ordered to cease and desist and then sued/fined. Customers hardly ever take the fall directly.

the UK moke  on BaT. was imported in april 1965.. my guess my Berry Buick out of Phily. as they imported the first FIDDY mokes into the usa..with Hambro imports.. and then dealer in Compton Cali sold it.. was OEM LHD..  think it will bring FIDDY plus..  very nice UK moke..   Cheers PHD..
