I have a 1966 Austin Cooper S with a July 1966 build date.
I am looking for info re: the four plastic strips riveted to the rear carpet upon which the front seats rest.
I have seen them in grey and black.
Anyone know the cutover date?
I have my original “brass” carpet spikes.
Should the rivets than attach these plastic protectors to the carpet also be brass?
Should the plastic strips on the tunnel to bent slightly for a better fit?
The set which came with my carpet were all flat. I see some suppliers provide 2 flat and 2 bent.
Any and all info is appreciated.
If anyone has a set of grey strips let me know.
