Maybe it's possible stainless fasteners might be part of the issue. The fitment of anything non-standard is often the starting point for problems down the line.

Personally I would revert to mild steel studs and brass nuts and give the nuts a bit more than 15ftlb. Don't swing on the wrench like a maniac but make sure they are good and tight.

I would not recommend any kind of thread lock. These fittings are hard enough to work with at the best of times even with nice clean threads. Applying an agent that makes nuts harder to get on or off will have you cursing later on.
Yeah my thoughts were about stainless being the issue. If it happens again I'll have to go back to stock studs and nuts.

I have read that Keith Calver switched to all bolts several years back. He said it makes it much easier that way. I still use the studs but with brass nuts and have never had a problem. Plus you can get extended length brass nuts ones that make doing the ones under the intake part much easier.

"How can anything bigger be mini?"

Hey all. As the title states my manifold has come loose on me at least 3 times. I'll be out for a spirited back road drive and slowely the engine gets louder and louder. The last time I lost the center nut and the far right nut and stud. Had to wait for the engine to cool at a hardware store before I could reinstall some fasteners. Currently have a bolt in place of the stud on the right. Any tricks to keeping these from loosening up? I know the tourque is only about 15 lbs so you wouldn't want to crank on them. High heat loctite? I have the stainless studs and fasteners if that matters.
