Good morning Ken,
I've tried a couple of different ways, and this tool is certainly NOT the most helpful or useful when it comes to getting an image uploaded. I have two pictures that I took this morning of each of the ignition coils so you can see what's going on, but until I can upload them, it's all academic.
Do you have any suggestions of how I can get them to you? Maybe the easiest would be for you to email me directly at [email protected]
Thanks.

Any chance you can post a photo showing the gap to the barb?

Hello y'all,
I spent a little time under the hood of my car today. Swapped out plugs, wires and the ignition coil. All were probably original with 165K miles.
I was reconnecting the crank sensor harness to the coil and I noticed that it was not seating the same as the original. Because of this, the retaining clip does not catch the barbs that lock in the harness. On the original, there is maybe 1/16" between the harness and the body of the ignition coil. On the replacement coil, there is 1/8" to 3/16" between the harness and the body of the ignition coil.
Has anyone run into this issue before? The replacement coil is the MSD coil that I've purchased here.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Tom Mulligan
