Where are you getting this text for the code from? (isn't E90 M3 a class of BMW car?)

So, I just replaced a fog light on my 09 R56 MINI (not R57 like yours) the other day. It was an H11 bulb.(55w Halogen)

Is the R57 simply a regular MINI Convertible?

Mine don't look anything like that, but common sense tells me that Fog lights are not used as daytime running lights......at least in Canada anyways.  Maybe it's different in the USA??

The light configuration would depend on what market the car was built for, and you didn't say where you are or fill in your profilce.

Your photo did not show up either. You may see it if the file is on the computer you posted from but we can't see it. You need to reduce the file size to something the message board can handle and then drag and drop it onto the big green dot to the left on the message composing screen.

Howdy, finding it difficult to understand if this thing has daytime running lights or if the fog lights ARE the DRL's. Posting a code; 

"00A8AF FRM: Fog light, right, faulty, E90 M3: daytime running light, right, faulty"

All lights seem to work. The fog light assembly through the fender flare hole looks like this, which I have not seen anywhere online. I'm sure I must be doing something stupid

 Edit: Hmmm. This is likely a combination LED Fog/DRL with the heatsink. The error codes probably caused by the dirty connector. Not sure though what to replace the assembly with should it be defective.
