I wonder if the Police light with the stop sign was made taller because the Mini was so short. It would bring the light up to the roof level of other cars.

I am trying to see the source of this 2 Liverpool Airport photos of my car, it appears to be a Police Escort of a VIP in a Austin Westminister.  The lead its a Police Motorcycle, my car is the lead car and then i am not sure the rear.  The roof sign seen here is wrong for liverpool and I am trying to see the correct one with the red Stop print on the back.

Hey all, I just picked up this 1970 Original Documented Cooper S former Liverpool & Bootle Police Car from a freind outside Philidelphia.  The car served its community from March 2, 1970 to March 6, 1971 where it was then sold off.  This is my 4th vintage police car restoration, and my 2nd Classic Mini.  I am looking to restore it to 100% Accurate Inservice Police Condition and there is a lot of work to do.  The Paint is very tired, chips and cracks, some bubbling, and will be repainted in probably another year.   it was restored in the late 80s OEW and Black roof, it was It was displayed at a show in the UK see the first photo in the late 80s or early 90s. I am seeking a correct Liverpool UK Roof top police sign with the red "stop" lettering on the back.  My roof sign is original but not correct for Liverpool.  Sadly its missing its original rear plate.  I am seeking other owners and Liverpool Vintage Police Car Experts.  In the comming month my plan is too get it running top notch, Swap it back to RHD, swap out the white wheels with silver, clean up the paint chips and try to get it to polish up some.  Install correct radio, switch set up, and mount the "Blues and Twos" police sign and horns.  I am planning to bring the car to National Police Week in DC May 14th for the Emerald Society Memorial March and gonna ask the Bobbies to march with the car.  The car will also be at Mini Meet East in Reading, PA. The car came with 2 Airport inservice Police Photos which shows my car conducting Police Motorcade escort of what my research indicates could  be State Secretary Callaghan (later elected Prime Minister of England).

Thank you,
