Many thanks Willie_B, now it makes more sense! I really appreciate this forum for helping Mini restoring projects out. I would never have figured this out by myself. Mini pickup is almost ready now, I just have to re-bleed the brakes and fix a small exhaust leak and then we are ready for the road. I will post images in a week or so.

I do have the drain tubes but they will probably never see water as this is a darned princess and is kept well covered, packrats and other rodents are the biggest worry living in the desert!

Thanks again, Martin.

Only sliding windows have the drain tubes. Up/down windows have the rubber wiper seal against the window to seal it.

Yes, It would have made a lot more sense if the diagram at the top had shown that the cutaway side goes to the outside of the car and the two black strips were angled similarly to the image below of the door.

I did not know cars with sliding windows had drain tubes. Maybe because I never needed to mess with the door cards when I had them. now I wonder if doors with roll-up windows have drains....

Help needed to on how to install a pair of door pocket lower liners. I purchased a pair of DP3023 LH & RH from our host many years ago in a kit with other door cards etc. I'm wondering how they fit in the door pocket as they are way too long to fit inside the pockets as they stand. (1969 Mini pickup).

Thanks in advance, Martin.
