Question:
The two screw holes on the bottom. What type of threading do they use?
Answer:
The tank just uses the original hardware - including the cap. I believe the top nut is an m6, so my guess is the lower screw is an m6 also but MINI does not list it by itself.

Question:
I have this tank on my 2006 e56 mini cooper s. I was wondering how I measure the coolant level and where do I fill it too?
Answer:
The only way to check the level in the polished aluminum coolant tank is to remove the cap and look inside with a flashlight.

Owners typically fill with coolant to about half full.

Question:
How do you check the coolant level on the aluminium tank?
Answer:
Typically what to do with this type of tank is to inspect coolant levels during regular service (oil change, maintenance, ect) when the vehicle is cold. You do have to wait till the engine is cool.
