If you have your Mini set up to handle, these polyurethane lower arm bushings  are an easy upgrade and even easier to install than the stock rubber-sleeved type. 1965 and later use these tapered style on the lower arm (the one with the bend to clear the axle shafts for suspension travel).

These will last longer, do a better job of locating the suspension arms, yet don't seem to deliver a harsher ride. One kit (4 bushings) required to do both arms.

Question:
Do these require reuse of the old metal sleeve. My metal sleeves are in bad shape due to rust.
Answer:
No, they do not.

Question:
Do these bushings need collars installed inside of them? My original collars seem to be two large to fit through the ID of these bushings, and the shaft of the "bolt" that goes through the bushings seems to be a nice snug fit, suggesting that I wouldn't need them. Thoughts?
Answer:
no these slip right onto the lower 'shaft'.  No collars. The should fit snug.
