Hello, do you still have the tuning kit available by any chance?
I have just recently spun a connecting rod bearing and since the engine will need to be pulled out, im thinking its a good time to finally get the JCW head

genuine JCW R50 TK #522 plus extras: $2800
Chronologically the first JCW kit released for the modern MINI. Timing of release coinsided with the release of the Cooper S model. So buyers moved from Cooper optioning into the already more powerful S model to just getting the S. 2500 kits produced world wide. Manufacturing of the kits has ceased. Kits are no longer available in the US market. In fact, this is the last one sold in the US market. Estimated 26-30 kits installed in the US. I only know of 3 existing including this one so believe that number to be too high.
Fits Cooper (Non-S) build dates up to 6/2004 w/ manual trans. Components may fit newer models and automatics up to end of 1st gen but convincing certified dealer installation may be difficult.
Kit condition:
- Badges, Engine cover, and Air filter used.
- side badges are bolt on; excellent condition.
- boot badge is stick on; has always had (since new) what appears to be a chip in the plating at the top of the “C” in Cooper. Might be able to touch up. Otherwise, excellent condition. Adhesive tape has been replaced.
- Engine badge stick on, excellent condition. Adhesive tape has been replaced.
- JCW Air filter washed out ready to go, great condition
- Engine/Injection tube cover, very slightly marked at the bottom of the recess that fits around the base of the oil check tube. Marked up from routine checking of engine oil. Otherwise, excellent condition.
- OEM Sport Exhaust sold. It didn’t have JCW badges or JCW part number.
- All other parts (cyl head and associated gaskets and hardware), NIB
- Kit includes factory JCW ECU tune.
- Unregistered JCW authenticity papers, Mint.
