Old thread but for anyone interested the wheels on Clint's car are "POS-A-TRACTION" wheels. My friend has had a set on his '65 Morris Mini-Minor for decades.

What in the world are those things in the back? They would keep the rear doors from opening. My guess would be that they pull out and hold a golf bag...sideways. Haha

Thank you so very much. After anticipating all these years, I feel so silly now, me with no more faith than a mustard grain, and now this turns up! Thanks again for this photo, (I wonder what I can get for it on 'Pawn Stars?')                                              Mini Estate

P.S. I guess I can't use this in the photo contest now since it has a person in it?

I feel compelled to comment on this quote, because I heard, (or read), years ago, that Clint Eastwood and Steve McQueen both ordered custom built Mini Traveller's from a Coachworks in the UK! (absolutely true "tale!") No information to support McQueen's Wagon through photos or otherwise. Yes we all know he owned the Hershey Chocolate colored Mini Cooper. It is surprizing how many of Steve McQeen's hardcore Fans never knew he ever owned a Mini of anykind!, (enter my Brother Bob... Him and his four Boys all diehard McQueen Fans!) When I sent my Bro the photo of McQueen with his Mini, you think he'd been struck by lightning! He thought that was about the coolest thing he'd ever seen in his life! He never knew after all these years of being a Fan, that Steve McQueen was a Mini owner. Pretty cool. OK, now can someone please make my day and produce a photo of Clint and his Mini Traveller? (maybe he'll be holding the signed 8X10 photo of my old '62 Countryman in it?!)

Miniestate as I've experienced myself, mur will straighten out everyone here who steps out of line.

You owe no explanation; I thank you for an interesting bit of trivia that clearly could not jeopardize the hotbed of celebrity participation at our events.

Hi Ya Mur,

If I'm not mistaken, Clint was an 'Honorary Member' of the Los Angeles(?) Mini Club for many many years. He never actually joined the Club, the Club just provided a "free lunch" by making him a non paying member out of respect, (besides the fact that it was just plain awesome that Clint Eastwood actually owned a Mini Woody!) Apparently Clint never made a single attempt to have anything to do with the Club, so he was officially removed from the roster. This was many years ago, but I definitely remember reading it in a Cali Mini Club Newsletter. I made a personal attempt in 1988 to contact Clint myself via USPS through his fanclub address. I sent him a glossy 8X10 color photo, (that I've attached here), of my 1962 Austin Countryman Woody that I owned at the time. I kept the message short and sweet just hoping to get any kind of response. He never acknowledged. He was always one of my favorite actors of all time. Still is. I saw him on TV once drive up in his Mini Wagon to attend a Special Golf Classic being held somewhere in Cali!!! He was wearing an English "Lid" and was sporting a rather sly sort of smile, (the same smile all Classic Mini Owners get when they get behind the wheel of their Mini!) I hope his Butler keeps the photo I gave him dusted off!!! (yeah right)Smile Mini Estate

Please chime in if something jumps out at you. I promise to share the photo with everyone here should it ever be located. OK, here we go. Here's the new clues. There is a guy that lives in Minnesota that owns a green Mini Woody Wagon that apparently looks just like Clint Eastwood's! He sports a genuine photo of Clint's Mini so you can plainly see the similarities! He attended both the 2004 and the 2009 Mini Meet East Meets West, and he had his Wagon in the Concours'. I was unable to locate any of the results from either Meet on the internet, but after hours of searching through hundreds? of posted photos from 2009, I did spot out two different green Mini Woodies! I will load them up here for you to see. It's gotta be one of these cars. Please, if you can help, please tell me what you know. I've been after this illusive photo for years. You already know how I'm going to end this..... "Make my day!" Thanks again! (for real!)                               Mini Estate

The dark green one (if i am not mistaken) was a Clubman wagon at one time and i believe it has a supercharged engine.

The light green one is my 61 Traveller. I didn't do the 2004 Meet and don't have the Eastwood picture.
