I DON'T WANT TO change the peddles. This is my wife's car. Besides, I have several other Minis to pick from to drive so it will not hurt me in any way.

Thanks for asking and enjoy driving on the CORRECT side.

Totally agree -  lus Overtaking on the RH side is impossible! and yes I overtake at times!   Few people tell me my LHD is on the wrong side - I just look at them silly and say - God Bless the USA!

Swapping masters to the other side will require both longer Brake Hard line and  Clutch Hard lines too.  Can easily be purchased from suppliers.

Basically there is not a KIT but more a Ways and means-  Throttle Cable to needs to route differeently - May be preferably longer too.

Thanks for your help.

This forum has a "thing" against doing what you want to your car.

I'm not nearly as versed as most, but you'll need a LHD throttle pedal, you need to switch the clutch master cylinder and the brake master(I'm not sure of brake master on your car, my MK5 has it on the RHD side but I think earlier cars had the clutch/brake master together?)you'll need to reroute/remake the hard lines. You'll need a LHD steering rack, which isn't the easiest thing to install. It's also a good idea to change the wipers to "park" the other way. Install a left side mirror if it doesn't already have one. One big thing it's a suffer fest under the dash trying to connect the pedals, just doing the clutch on mine was enough. Coopertune has a trick he shared in an earlier post, removing the seats also helps, I think Alex from the UK suggested that.

I've had both and I really don't care what all of the RHD people in a LHD world say, it is so much easier driving on the correct side, everyone forgets about the real world like drive through ATMs, Toll Boths, merging onto the highway, and your front seat passenger feeling like a sacrificial lamb sitting exposed to on coming traffic.

When asked about how "difficult" it is to drive a RHD car, my reply is usually;
"It's easy. This way I'm steering with my smart hand and shifting with the stupid one."

The only issue I ever had was pulling out into traffic and not remembering what side of the road I am suppose to be on. My rule is that if you're in a British car in America you should be able to slap the ladies on the ars as you drive by, if you can't, you're on the wrong side. Or at least scare the crap out of the wife as she is speeding "out of control", makes me smile everytime.

I was amazed at how easy it was to drive the RHD '73 Van here in Vancouver - the first time.  Might have something to do with the small size of the Mini, the great greenhouse (window Van)...but amusingly, I had the ghost movement strike right off the bat.  Shift into neutral at traffic light and my right hand immediately ghosted what the left had actually done.  Same thing happened initially in Australia too.  This ghosting goes away quickly.

Where are you located? When are you going to be conducting the change to LHD? I am picking up a '62 Woody thats LHD and i was thinking about making it RHD, (and before anyone says it, I know that it makes a problem when passing...spent numerous years in the UK and drove US spec cars and trucks over there and brought back a RHD Mini and drove it for 7 years here in the US). This car is not going to be a daily driver but possibly monthly/ seasonal depending on the weather and how well the roads are. Email me, my address is in my profile.

Just wondering, why do you want to change it?

Pedals and pedal box is the same just swop from one side t'other, you will need a throttle pedel though.

There's probably a few on here that have gone the other way.....there may be a few spares available.
You'll need the steering rack also ( specific to MkI unless already changed to a MkII> along with steering arms )
