Save the pins. You'll need them when you convert back.

That's what I guessed!  The good news is you can simply unbolt the shifter housing from under the car, get it on a bench and knock out those pins.

You may find that you can "pinch" them with a pair of pliers.... they are spring roll-pins, so properly orienting your pliers should "crush" them to slip out.

Hi

Sorry I didn't descibe it very well. The pins I mean are below the cup that you push down and twist to remove the old gear stick. its thise pins I need to remove so that when I put the kad shifter in place the screws go in place of them pins

Regards

Kyle

Are we talking rod-change or remote for the quick-shift?  If the dam pins are the ones that hold the spring-loaded "cup" at the base of the rod-change shifter, those are just spring roll-pins. The quick-shift has you bolt an extension here that provides the new pins an inch or two higher to allow for the longer shaft below the pivot ball....

Make sense?  If you must remove the gearbox, there are bigger problems!  The shifter is installed AFTER the gearbox and engine are in the car!

Hi

Need some help. I have just bought a Kad quick shift. I  have got the old one off but I cannot get them dam pins out and I do not want to have to take the gear box out. Any tips or ideas please
