This is the 3.25 diameter fresh air hose.

With the heater dropped nd the pedal out of the way it was easy to get on ans secure the clamp.

It is then held snuggly out of the way as it heads towards the firewall opening with the grommet sort of holding the other end in place as it passes through.

My hose goes thru the opening above the pedals. A clamp holds it on the heater and tension holds it up out of the way.

Sometimes having old photo stuff around can be helpful.

Arm and clamp held pedal out of the way and the fresh air went on easily with heater dropped down.

On my 84', I had a bear of a time getting it back in which I never did. I ended up making one that fit though.

This is a 65 wagon. I am thinking once I get it clamped on to the heater then pull it tight, the firewall rubber seal will hold it in place...I am hoping anyway as I see nothing else to clip or attach it with or to.

Not sure on the early cars but the later ones just sit there held in place by the two ends.

On a right hand drive car, the fresh air duct goes right over the pedals. Does anything keep it in place?

It seems to almost rest on the clutch pedal.

Once I get it clamped, do I just pull it back into the engine compartment a few notches?

I should have paid more attention when taking it out.
