APT Instruments in Bloomington, MN. These people do repair and restorations worldwide. Gotta 30's Bugatti that's been sitting for 70 years and need a new gauge face silk screened or a broken Smith. This is the place. They also do any modification or conversion that you can dream of.

I've had both Smiths RVI and RVC type tachs to work with Ignitors. I didn't do anything special, Ijust installed them as per the instructions. Other people have found the opposite. You'll find some information and help here.

Does the factory Smith tachometer (in a '81 clubman) not work with a car upgraded with a pertronix distributor. Either way, what is the best way to get it to work; can I send it to be upgraded or fixed somewhere?
