When I had the Tahiti Blue Pearl mixed, they found it listed under Land Rover colors, 1995 County and Discovery.. that was for Dupont ChromaSystem .. and yes the primer is a grey color..I think it was Value Shade 7 which is fairly dark. The paint code was 965. You can see it on my link below for my build site..

Just look over the color samples at the paint dealer. I found one that matched really well actually i liked it better than the original Tahiti blue, be sure to use a black primer as the pearlescent blue goes on very transparent and does not cover well.

My car is "Tahiti Blue" except it isn't most would say it is but it actually is a Honda color called Supermarine blue. I'll see if I can dig up the code.
Edit: Pretty sure it's Honda Super Marine Blue Pearl Color Code B84P
Thanks bikewiz.. do you by chance have a large picture somewhere that I could see the true color? From the smaller picture, you have done nearly exaclty what I hope to accomplish. beautiful car!

Hi all, I'm new to the forum. While I've loved minis my entire life, I do not have one yet. With that said however, the dream is alive and we will be importing two (hopefully) next year. Meanwhiile, we have been doing extensive research on all consideration towards full resstorations. One color of choice is the Pearlescent Tahiti Blue. Finding this color over here in the States has been a near headache even with the JRJ BLVC965 paint code. Can anyone on the USA side of life help with where this color can be purchase? Can we actually get it over here in the States? Many Thanks, Randy
