Lance Smurf Brown pointed out contact between the LCB and the Hardy Spicer that was detroying the header.  But it turned out not to be the source of the mystery noise.

Anybody ever get a rattle while decelerating in gear? It sounds almost valve train-ish.  It has been increasing a lot in the last week and now I'm worried.

It only happens when lifting in gear, no other time.  The sound is kinda like a rocker hitting the valve cover.  I can't simulate this in the garage just revving in neutral.

I have an okay PCV system in place, however it's been on there for several months and this noise is just starting now.  But vacuum is the only thing I can think of that would be going on in this mode.

I have very close contact between the right output shaft and the header, that's all I can think of.  perhaps drivetrain twist is pushing them together even though I have all 3 steadies.
