I used to get a ride to school in one every day from the village of Osgathorpe with a couple other kids.  I remember it being a bumpy ride!

I had a 57 series I long wheelbase pckup. My two boys both helped rebuild it and then learned to drive in it! It was as the guy said not fast but dependable and sturdy, eventually I had to move it along and sold it via Craigslist to a pair of brothers from Belize who bought it for there father to replace his wrecked one.............So full circle on that one from father to son's to son's to father............

Thanks for sharing. Those old Land Rovers just keep getting better with age! Dependable, bulletproof and unstoppable. Kind of like an old 1950's American refridgerator. Gotta love um. I always wanted an old Defender 110 or a DorMobile. I settled on an older model Rangerover. My youngest son owns a newer Land Rover. He has a gorgeous Jaguar that matches it. Both in gleaming black!                                     Mini Estate

I have many fond memories of bombing around my dad's farm in my '57... Almost identical to this one, except we also had the rear PTO, making it a LOT more useful...

Hopefully I'll get it stateside at some point.

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.
