I sell plenty of stuff on CL and I've never listed an email. If you are serious about buying my product, you can use the "reply" button to send me an email. Judging from that initial email I will respond to you with my phone number for you to call me at.

Demanding a local number isn't really justified IMO. Peope don't change phone numbers when they move anymore. Especially if you're military like me. Guess I might be missing out on a few sales, but I just don't care. You're not getting my phone number up front. Just not gonna happen.

Good grief....you must be an act

goes to show that you are not a Craigslist worm, i buy my toys in CL, i know its in and out, scams etc. i can tell right away you belong to the group of people that is mostl likely become a victim of scam, if he is serious in selling, he needs to put his phone number. He needs to make himself accessible to the buyers, he needs people business , people dont need his business.

somebody needs to eat more burger... ooops!

Any ad on Craigslist that I will take seriously MUST have a phone number and a local phone number at that. None of the Google out state phone numbers that scammers love to use.

I don't think I'd want to be anywhere near that car in CA...  and I suspect the price reflects that.

Could well be a steal for someone in another state, willing to take the risk that it is the '84 it is plated as.

I never put my phone # in cl ads. It saves me tons of time on the phone with tire kickers.

Robster,
Do you have any idea about the laws in the state of Kalifornia* regarding registering vehicles? Perhaps the seller wants to "vet" any potential buyers before letting them know who/where he is.

And, I think you have your insults mixed up. I don't believe Spitz ever posted in the "hamburger thread". Perhaps you were directing that towards me for some reason?

*-If you go to the search feature on this site and type in "revin" or "California" you'll have hours of entertaining reading. All of which have been discussed here ad-nauseum.
