I've been asking for an ignore user filter for at least a decade. I don't think it's going to happen.

People do get warned and their posting priviledges restricted, mine was for sure back in the good old days.

Speaking of good old days , wheres Willie?

Me? I'm just thankful that we have this message bored.
Folks come, folks go. Some are helpful, some not so much...
It's all kinda like my disfunctual family that just left after devouring a 22 pound bird..... And, they took any decent leftovers with 'em. I consider that a fair deal. They left, I'm still here.

Agree completely with Larry.  Fresh air is needed and Robster has been a big shot of adrenaline here.

Keeps us all on our toes which is a healthy thing.  Forums are exactly that; forums.

I personally think the Robster is totally entertaining. He has added a breath of 'fresh' air to the Forum but perhaps not necessarily sweet smelling.

Once upon a time ago, wasn't there a clamshell function?

Yeah, I'd leave an event or a show.  I wonder if the Arizona Mini Owners Club has offered membership, mentorship or companionship.  Surely there's a club member relatively closeby, passing through on the way to San Diego or just over the CA border in El Centro.

There is no reason for it to get ugly. As you can see it's like a moth to a flame. Any attention is good attention. As a 10 year old I started hanging out with retired old men who were building Model A Fords. They let me sweep the floors and pick up tools. By age 15 I was able to buy my own Model A. By age 17 I had a Model A and a Sprite. At 18 I added a 850 Morris mini to my fleet. I was hanging out with mini owners trying to learn about minis. In spite of having a work permit from age 15 allowing me to work at Carmatic engine and tranny exchange I was not trying to teach others what I clearly did not know. Steve (CTR)

I've been here, what, a dozen years or so and even used to post quite a bit. I have respect for 99.9% of all forum members.  Osting used to be just mostly humour & car related topics.  In the early years I never posted hardly anything in the way of advice or help as I knew nothing about Mini's.....still have a great deal to learn, but occasionally I can post a little help this way or that on stuff I actually know something about.  My skill level will never be to that level of guys like mur, coopertune, Dr. Mini etc. and I know my limits.  If in any doubt, I will say that when giving "advice".

My stomach actually turns when I see robster give advice on stuff he apparently knows little to nothing about.....and he posts on most threads. GAH.  It has (partially_) ruined my experience here.  In truth, I buy very little from minimania (shipping costs being the #1 reason not to) but every once in a blue moon I like to give our hosts my hard earned Canadian cash.  In turn for our business, for their customers I think they should warn certain members privately about misbehaving in their house.(place of business).

No matter how many times he's told not to offer advice on things he doesn't know anything about  robster does it anyways.  I am OK. I will just 100% ignore it, but others that are not around much or are new members that are looking for straight, honest answers could easily be misinformed.  I'd love a block button.

Robster-catch a clue. lease. Do people need to draw you a picture? How many times do you need to be told? Honestly.

I picture a guy, who has absolutely no self-awareness whatsoever and who's probably got good intentions, but who's Mother never (even once) whacked him up side the head for saying something stupid or talking out of turn.  You run your mouth for the sake of running your mouth just to hear yourself talk.  Where's the mute button?

Do you ever look in the mirror and wonder about the stuff that comes out of your mouth ?(in this case, off the tips of your fingers onto a keyboard).  If I ran my mouth like you do I would be scared to go to a car show or Mini meet in case anyone would recognize me and pummel me into the ground. My God man !

IMNSHO and with only a modicom of respect, wake up and smell the coffee !

Just being honest....I don't post much, and I don't answer many of the members questions with help.

But, I have posted questions and have been helped by many here. I do follow this forum and enjoy reading and learning from many. I also follow other mini forums and haven't seen what I see in here lately.......If I get banned from the forum>so be it. I have never done this before on any other forum>>>ever!! So let the venting begin!!!!!!

We are all here for common sense answers, ideas, and challenging each others thoughts in a respectful way. I consider forums "Brain Food" But I am losing interest in this forum because EVERY TIME I log on and start reading a post that starts off with a simple honest question It gets DERAILED by this member. Its come to the point that I first view who has posted answers and if he's responded I skip it because I know its going to be derailed. His responses really make no sense and when some says he's wrong......well then, it gets bad. I wish there was a "block" feature in the forum, as I know I haven't read some post that could have been really informative because of him. I'm most times stunned at some of his answers, it leaves me shaking my head. Reason being......he claims to know a lot and have done a lot>>>but from his responses, well...there is no common sense. I am all for sharing ideas and knowledge. When I post a question and the responses are not favoring what I had in mind.....I accept them and say thanks. Now>>>This is my opinion and if I offend this member....well that's life, as he is poisoning this great forum and my enjoyment of reading it. Yes, there will be members saying.........I have the option of not logging onto this forum. I agree, But if he can give his opinions and attack members....well, judge me by his standards!! Many members have requested for him to blocked...Jemal even wrote up a post regarding this situation.

All I ask is.. could a "BLOCK MEMBER" button be added, If not well then let me ask this member, because I know he will read it.

Robster............This is not an attack...but merely a BIG HINT... do you not have any shelf awareness to even grasp what you are doing or saying. Yes, I know...your responses are always the same. But really, go back and re-read some of the stuff you post..look at it and see how you derail a post. You ask a question...someone says your wrong...you attack. A member posts a question...you answer...someone says your wrong...you attack. now look at posts without you.......Ya, common sense, even if the problems doesn't get solved. Yes you are entitled to answer or say anything you like.....but RESPECT members when they shoot down your idea or comment. You quite often say ....think outside of the box. Well, from what I have read, and what you claim you know..........Ya, there is no box for you.

PS...I will not get into a banter with you as you have been doing this for a long time and I have no chance against your experience. all I'm trying to say is.......WAKE UP and RESPECT the forum.
