I'm reposting this to hopefully reach a few more folks than those usuals who show up regularly. It's never too late to come check us out and see if you'd like to hang with us more in 2015!! It doesn't matter if your first meetup with us is at the holiday party-- just come.

 

 

Hi folks,

 

Our annual Holiday Party and Fun Run is coming up this Sunday, December 14.  If you are interested in joining us for the Fun Run, meet us at 1:30 PM by the TGIF Windmill, next to the Chevron Station at the corner of Palomar Airport Road and Paseo Del Norte Road.  (If you are driving North from the San Diego area, take the I 5 North and exit at Palomar Airport Road.  The TGIF Windmill used to be the site of Split Pea Andersons a few years ago) and is right at the corner as you come off the freeway.  Look for the gaggle of Mini/MINIs by the Windmill. 

 

We'll plan to meet at 1:30 and start off at 1:45.

 

Here is the route for the Fun Run:

 

1.  Meet at the TGIF Windmill (corner of Palomar Airport Road and Paseo Del Norte Road)

 

2.  From the Windmill, we will head WEST on Palomar Airport Road to Highway 101 S.

 

3.  We will take highway 101 S. for 17 miles until it changes to Genesee.

 

4.  Stay on Genesee for 9.3 miles, then left  onto Highway 163 N.

 

5.  On 163 N stay in the right lane and take the Mesa College Drive Exit (it's only a half mile) and turn Right at the light at the top of the ramp.

 

6.  From here go 0.7 miles to Aero Drive, turn Right.

 

7.  On Aero Drive go 0.6 miles to John J. Montgomery Drive, turn left past the airplanes.

 

8.  Drive 0.2 miles north on John J. Montgomery Drive, parking will be directly in front of you. 

 

9.  You can't miss Casa Machado, it's the entire top floor of the airport terminal building.  We're on the patio at the east side, where the OPEN sign is. 

 

 

*  We'll have hard copies of these directions on hand as well for the Fun Run this Sunday.
