I only need the core, if you are willing to break down the heater system and sell parts, what would you want for the core.

I know this doesn't answer your question but you can buy the core/matrix new on a popular auction site that rhymes with "play" in the UK for short money. I bought an all metal one for my earlier year mini from a guy who goes by the seller name "demisterman" they're not as cheap as the OE one but much nicer made.

I have heard that a ford econoline heater core will work on a 95 mini. Does anyone know if this is true and do you have specifics on the year of econoline core.
