There is a verrrrry nice van for sale (sort of) here in Ohio, the owner passed a few years ago, in the care of his best friend. He's rather reluctant to sell it. Love the vans/pick ups, but being over 6' it's a little more difficult to fit comfortably behind the wheel than a sedan. Also why if I bought a RHD car I'd convert it to LHD. Nothing wrong with RHD but with size 14 wide feet, it's too tight with the gas pedal being so close to the wheel well I run out of real estate quick.

Thanks for the info, I'll pull up Pauls info later.

I prefer the rhd in a Mini as there is room to rest your left leg when not using the clutch, the lhd never seems comfortable to me but that is just a personal thing. Funny thing is after driving manual rhd's for a number of years and getting in a lhd manual even the Wife said i prefer rhd and using my left hand when i have to shift gears, and she is right handed

Jonathan i believe Pat said the year of the Van was a 1974/5.

I sold my Van when i picked up the Clubman Estate but i have thought of putting steel sides in the Clubbie, unfortunately those rear sliding windows work well in the Florida Summer so until the a/c kit is installed they are staying.

Hi folks, yeah thats our panel van.

Was built by Paul Tsikuris over a 4 1/2 year span in his spare time.

Google "Tsikuris Classics" for contact info.

When he was nearly done he decided he wasn't a mini person and offered it to us.

Absolute chance of a lifetime and we said  we would take it.

Paul's customer cars and his own have won at Pebble Beach and Amelia Island so yes this has been done to a high standard.

I have owned Mini's for over 40 years and we own a Pickup also.

That looks like a high end build. Can't wait to look at your album later.

Thanks SXSMAN.  Most of the pictures were shot on my Canon Rebel T4i.

The red van was absolutely gorgeous inside and out, and I am so envious of the cleanliness of the engine bay and ac install.

Here's all the photos I got of them:

Jonathan, the red Mini Van with a/c belongs to Pat and Margaret Clarke, they just purchased it before the show. A lot of money went into the build especially the paint and body and it shows.

Wow Alan !

Some great pictures, I'll have to go back and look at the album when time permits. What type of camera are you using ? (I know many look great because of your technique)

I miss seeing Hrach at the meets, don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face. Also Charlie Pace, who was willing to lend a hand at a moments notice. Too many good friends gone.

Wondering about the red mini with A/C, what year is the car and who owns it ? (right side condenser)

Not to mention out of the 12 or so Estates and vans five of them were Clubmans and also in the mix a rare Portuguese Estate with a factory one piece lift up rear door.

Long live P A C E  ;-)

Probably the largest turnout of estates at any show (not counting east/west meets) plus 2 vans, oddly enough no pick up trucks and one Moke

This serves to reinforce my theory that estates will be the variant of choice in the future-

79 hours door to door.

Left home at 0500 on Friday morning, drove to Gatwick, flew into Orlando late, grabbed a hire car, drove to the medieval Times, waved at the gang, drove to the host hotel, ate, chated, slept, got up on British time, larked about all morning in the rain, was very kindly lent a car for the weekend (HUGE thanks Al for that (not Big Al, the other one)), ate alligator, enjoyed Old Town, drank beer, watched Guido be photographed with a hooker, slept a tiny bit more, full English breakfast at the St Georges, judged a class in the show, met up with and chatted to more old friends, bought tools at Sears, dropped off hire car, met workmate at check in (neither of us knew we were in Florida), flew back to Gatwick, drove home and arrived at 1200.

Great turnout of cars, nice to see kids being introduced to the hobby (the youngest was 7 months), fantastic to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

The weather could have been kinder, but that can be true wherever you are (MitP last year made this weekend look like light drizzle) and the real litmus test is the smiles per gallon and enjoyment factor, which was there in spades.

WELL DONE DION & TEAM - it was a splendid weekend.

Had a lot of fun at Old Town even though it was raining. It's definitely a must do again.

A bit of sun finally graced the car show. Good to see the cars and friends from near and far!
