I've been building up bits for it since and it's been gradually edging closer to getting ready.

Sadly, last week, I had my car nicked and torched. In the back was my surfboard and my work kit. The insurance company are playing games and I need another van and more gear. Sadly, she's got to go.

I'm aware that many of you are on the case of every nut and bolt of mini which crops up, there is a lot of crap for sale in Britain, rusty rubbish fetches a fortune. Have a look at my old beast. It is what it is and the stuff with it is pretty awesome. It's a very good shell.

I'd kind of like it to go to one of you yanks. Quicksilver or PMustang. Carry on the legacy.....get it sorted and smoke some tyres.

Adios folks. It has been a good 12 years or so, when you buy such a thing, you not only get a load of old metal stuff, but you also kind of inherit the dream as well. That's the expensive bit.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune at the hands of those wankers Stu, hope life gets back on track for you. Good luck with the sale.

Q:  Hi Stu. Just sent you a pm on the mk1 forum. Just to ask have you got s price you would accept for the mini. I like the patina look .....too many concours mk1's. But also I can collect it and understand it will be a lot of messing around moving the shell and parts! Might save you dealing with eBay idiots who will look at the first pic and think they will drive it home ..ha ha. ! Thanks Steve 24-Mar-15
A:  I always say that people are idiots and pay too much for "an old mini". As a result, I'd like someone to either get a bargain, or make me a fortune. This is not something which has been tarted up, or dragged out of a barn. It's probably the most awesome project imaginable.....sure, you could get some sort of cooper S which you'd need to sweep up, or you could get this and go and get yourself banned from driving. It really goes against the grain to sell it, but I sadly have no choice. In fact I do, but it would mean getting trains/cycling and I can't do that!

Loving your honest responses there Stu. Hope life jumps back into your favour in the near future.

It's been fun, but this place is done. I have no hatred, and appreciate the good times. But this place now belongs to Tony and his pink mini.

Red one sold years ago. Blue one "tuned" a bit.
