Mowog:  nice! ( but I think the prancing horse is too much. Better a Mac Bulldog.) I like the way the bonnet stripe and checkerplate bumper turn the Mini smile into a slightly menacing grin.

Here is another Mini Tow Truck for your viewing pleasure.  This showed up at a local West Michigan car show last summer.  It is based on a very early 850.

What a great history this little beast has!  I saw it at the Seven open house last fall and talked to the owners.  It belonged to a local friend... I remember when he bought it at one of our own open house events probably 10 years ago. Guy showed up with a bone stock farm truck from the central valley, had the little "shell" canopy and stock 850, but looked and smelled like an old farm.

Eric built a nice 1380, and had me build him a custom 4-synchro 1128 box adapted to retain the magic wand shifter, and stuffed with the latest A+ WIDE RATIO gear set, AND the only one of it's kind I've ever seen real Jack Knight 2.9 final drive with only a 19 tooth pinion, so it fit inside the third motion ball bearing retainer..... Usually one has to grind away too much to fit the standard 20 tooth 2.95 in the early boxes!  That little package has the longest legs of ANY 4-speed equipped Mini on Earth!   With the A+ wide ratio, 1st is about equivalent to a standard 3.44, yet 4th is about the same ratio as the final drive of any of the high dollar 5-speeds.  That little truck can 'cruise' at 80, but doesn't need to fry it's clutch to get off the line!

The current owners added the "Tow truck", making  it an absolute hit at such conventions.... The little guy stands toe to tow - so to speak- with the 'giants' of the industry, making some of those over-macho towing guys take themselves a little less seriously!!

I hope that was a 4 wheel Isetta! I would hate to see what it would look like having a mini tow a 3 wheeler with only the rear wheel on the ground coming down the road toward you! (images of a little puppy and a cat having a violent tug of war over a chew toy......). Also might need someone to sit on the hood of the mini to get traction!

Would not be surprised to see a"hooker" working a Vegas convention...just not that small a one.

If it's not Scottish....it's crap! (Cry of the Mini Tartan Owners' Clan)
