The brakes are the same as the disks that came standard on later cars. Cooper did nothing to the brakes in their conversions unless you optioned up to their 4 pot alloy ones...but they were only sold later. These might not fit under 10" rims as well.

It all depends on what brakes you have now and what wheel and tires are you going to install if any.
