Se7en,
I THINK I solved my problem. So, unless you hear from me, I won't be needing the wheels.
Hope to see you at MME.
Cheers!

Mike: I've found three wheels so far, They appear to all be solid, MG1100 type as opposed to the AA wheels that have oval holes around the perimeter of the center. If you are interested, I'll be glad to send you a picture of one so you can see type and general condition. They've all been in covered storage for MANY years. Let me know.
PS - can bring them to MME to save shipping costs, unless of course you want them beforehand.

Howard,
I have been in touch with Todd. He has been helpful. I joined the Austin America Register. But he has no wheels. So, he cannot help me with this issue.

I'll look this weekend, I may have some in the barn just looking for a good home. Just the other day, I think there is a rear seat still in the attic of the garage.

I'll have a look.....I've stripped a few over the years but don't recall what I still have stashed.

Spank,
Thanks for the advice. I am trying to keep the car original...but I MAY have to resort to that conversion.
Thanks again.
Just run the spare one for now and continue the search or use a Honda 4 lug for a spare. Trouble is Mike most of those AA's once the auto crapped out were donor cars for Mini's years ago, just like looking for Vega wheels now.
If in doubt, flat out. Colin Mc Rae MBE 1968-2007.

iI don not have any, but 4-1/2 pcd mgb rostyle wheels work. same for honda accord steel 4x114.3. Use 185/55-15 tires. 1/4" spacers on the rear could be needed depending on the offset you find on the wheels you've sorced (there are apparently a bunch of different offset and width rostyle wheels out there).
Of course, this does nothing if you are looking to keep originality.

I have had a shimmy in the Austin America and tried checking the tire balancing, alignment etc with no luck. Turns out that the problem is that I have a BENT RIM. Does anyone know of anyone who may have a one or two Austin America factory rims?
I don't care if they need some work.
Let me know.
